Many years ago,
Teacher told me a Story:
"Some time after the birth of Baby Jesus,
Qristian Church fathers Wizely divided
The Book of Genesis
Into fifty chapters."
At the time, m'Lord,
I took issue
With the characterization of their indexing scheme as Wize,
And I protested, saying:
"But Teacher,
That seems to me like a somewhat arbitrary number,
Creating StoryWalls that make no cents.
Why not instead
Build and indexing scheme
<By Their Generations>?
By definition,
Such a count
Would stay completely faithful
To the internal StoryLogic of the text itself."
Teacher struck me with his iron rod,
Called me an upstart,
And warned me not to Kwestion his AweThority.
